ORENDAIN's "Fissures of Light" poses a dialogue between darkness and revelation: a black cut divides the surface like a symbolic crack, while the gray textures evoke geological strata and the gold leaf bursts forth as a metaphor for persistent light. The ochre strokes, energetic and sharp, interrupt the stillness and suggest vitality. The work condenses the tension between the material and the spiritual, showing how clarity can be born in a fissure.

Curatorial Description
In Fissures of Light , ORENDAIN articulates a visual dialogue between density and revelation, between contained darkness and flashes that burst forth as signs of the sacred. The composition is structured around a black cut that divides the surface, evoking a crack or fissure that separates and, at the same time, connects planes of different nature.
The mineral textures, rendered in shades of gray and white, suggest geological strata or surfaces eroded by time, while the gold leaf introduces a symbolic dimension: it is not mere ornamentation, but a metaphor for the light that persists and finds its way through the material. The dynamic, sharp ochre strokes break the stillness of the planes and act as vital signals, reminding us that even within the fissures, a pulse of energy beats.
The work embodies the exploration of tensions between the material and the spiritual, between the geometric and the organic. Fissures of Light is presented as an inner map, where ruptures do not signify loss, but rather the possibility of letting clarity in.
