With Waters of Lethe , ORENDAIN invokes an atmosphere of dissolution and oblivion through subtle color and economy of gesture. Inspired by the mythological Greek river that erased the memory of souls, this work becomes a sensorial experience of contemplation, where the viewer is invited to lose themselves in a translucent, watery surface, as if looking through time or their own memories.

The palette of emerald green, turquoise, and light blue—applied in thin, translucent layers—suggests a liquid, ethereal plane, where shapes fade before asserting themselves. The composition is deliberately minimal, and it is precisely in this restraint that its power lies: two small golden squares interrupt the visual flow like floating signs, fragments of light, symbols that hint but do not reveal.

The use of gold leaf here is not decorative, but rather mystical: it acts as a lost memory that briefly reappears before sinking back into the waters of Lethe. The pictorial space has no hierarchies or clear directions; it is a field of subtle vibration where silence is the protagonist.
